    Soton On Saturday

I don't think Valencia will be starting.

    Or will he

Same team that started against Palace or will we have sold Winston by then?

Will Sam try to 'play' like we did against Palace or will he revert to route one football against the supposedly more stylish team?

A win would be a bloody marvellous result.

Think you're right, bench at best

He sounded dire tonight, although it was a blunts station I was listening to but he did nothing against League One opposition tonight by the sound of it

I said at the time that Valencia doesn't seem to have a trick and I would expect something out of the ordinary for 12-15m. I'm not being wise after the event either because I was unimpressed after the world cup and Spurs cameo.

I genuinely believe that we signed the wrong Ecuadorian, Valencia may well have scored the tap-ins in Brazil but Jefferson Montero was comfortably their best player and cost Swansea only £4m.

It was the Sheffield station I listened to but they didn't really talk anyone up. They were trying very hard to be nice though.

It sounded like he started brightly but faded as the game went on. The 120 minutes will help him though. He's got to get used to the UK way of playing.

Must admit that when i saw Valencia first play for us i wasnt impressed considering what we paid for him. As the prem is a whole new kettle of fish and he needs to adapt i have to give him the benefit of the doubt, but last nights showing doesnt instill convidence.

Hell be warming the bench, bought on in the last 12 mins, when we are 3-0 down.

I didn't see any warm up games for the World Cup but he didn't impress me even when he scored two against Honduras. Missed a sitter in that game, too

He hit his penalty hard enough yesterday, probably a bit unlucky it hit the keeper rather than him saving it, but I'm a bit concerned we splash £12m on a player that wasn't even a striker just over

Have some faith, BFS is not interested in the league cup he will be quite happy that we have been knocked out

In a way it would have been better had we had a run in the cup. At least it would have been an opportunity for the others to get more playing time in. But i am not too bothered we are out, just who we went out to.

Hope Zarate does score on Saturday, and Sakho also now he has found the net.
