    re: 11 defeats

    Aside from the 11 defeats.

Home games last season against Southampton, Norwich and Hull.

All three played us off the park. Hull had 10 men. Norwich went down.

    But we won them all.

Imagine where we'd be if we lost them. The posession stats from today and the Saints last season are almost identical.

But last season we got very lucky, make no bones about it. We had the likes of Matty Taylor running himself into the ground and hurling himself into blocks.

He's not that good a player, but Sam likes players like him. And he hasn't got a clue what to do with the talent bestowed upon him. Today it rubbed off on the players, although I agree that they should have the cojones to be self-motivated.

There is no plan B and under Allardyce there never has been. It's score then defend. It always has been, even in the Championship apart from a couple of notable occasions. It's what he does and it's as past it's sell-by date as the furry bit of cheese at the back of your fridge.

    I reckon he's

Today at home we had just 36% possesion.
And we always look to have less players on the pitch. Against Tottenham, we never looked like we had an extra player available.

This stupid obsession with "team-shape" makes us slow and ponderous, because nobody wants to be out of position.

I expect Alex Song will become a rock in our midfield with Coyote. The boy Morrison needs to play a further 10 yards forward at least.

There is 2 weeks now to do a complete makeover with the material available. that is what a reasonable person would do.

"I reckon he's got three games"

but every now and again we play well for some odd reason (think last week v CP) and think a corner has been turned and then we just revert to type (today), they either sack him or they dont, they cant keep waiting.

Its almost as if hes playing a cat and mouse game of dare with the two ronnies

    @Blackdiamond

The other team always looking like they have more players on the pitch than we do is something i have heard many fans comment on at the games.

It's back to the same old sh1te.
Again going foward nothing absolute nothing. We are the team to play right now as going foward we have the mighty Carlton Cole leading our attack.

Funny how if you want Sam out you're called a whinging (unt and that he's here to stay get over it blah blah blah.

    Well enough is enough.

It's ***** we win home games atleast half of them. This squad is badly managed because it had talent, but here Sam is clueless and fans have had enough.

    Sh1t weekend cheers.

Best shut this forum down then if no one is ever allowed to discuss the game or have an opinion that differs from yours.

Bonzo is so correct what he says about certain posters.

Played off the park today - poor as we were, particularly for their second, sometimes you do have to say that the other team were just much better, and that Southampton were - they have a gem in Tadic!

Still don't like one up front. Still think we need pace. Good to see Song pre game.

Best thing about today was the Ribman.
