I think that is patently obvious to most people.

Why not have a read of some of the other threads on here for an answer to that. Or you could have a look at the Blackburn board, a Leeds board, a Portsmouth board etc.

Contrary to popular belief you don't get a cheque for £120 million as soon as you are promoted to the Premier League.

I'm quite happy with the business we've done in the transfer window thanks.[/quote]

Look Stan I know you have to be careful and keep the purse strings in check but the latest 3 players you have just brought in my opinion and yes it's only my opinion are not good enough for a solid avoiding relegation club, however time will tell. Dyche is a canny manager but some money should have been given to him

Dyche is a canny manager but some money should have been given to him to spend on a couple players, 4-5 million a piece type players not ****age loanees and a reject Hull player. Apologies for being harsh but I don't think it's good enough.
The first XI from last season (in my opinion) are good enough to avoid relegation and in the first 3 games (with the only inclusion of Matt Taylor) they have shown us that they can. Apart from a mind boggling out of this world 20 minutes from Chelsea we've matched who we've been up against (yes that's the top 2 of the division and Man Utd with a midfield and attack that would make your eyes water).

Is it a guarantee when spending '4 or 5 million' on

    Fair play Campo...

Up the Trotters and if we get through to the 3rd round onwards let's hope we get to draw each other.

Oh stan. Your true colours are showing

I won't post anything "negative" about your beloved clarets in the future. Your toys were like missiles coming out of that pram!!!!

It doesn't matter who was in United's lineup on the day. They aren't playing well and should be beaten. If you are happy to settle for a draw against a team that isn't performing well, no matter who they are, then I fear for you.

We did that before now. Draws don't keep you up. We should know

Deary me Jimmy, talk about the dumbing down of debate.
You might not be used to other folk challenging your opinions but you've been around on these boards long enough to know how it works.

You're right draws won't keep us up but no team has been relegated after 3 games. The media driven sheep like to focus on how Man Utd aren't playing well at the moment. Not a mention on how the other 11 players on the other teams might have played.

If Burnley hadn't have turned up the other saturday then we'd have been beaten by a Man Utd side, regardless of how they are playing at the moment.

Like I said, it was a point gained.

I would hardly say that it was dumbing down of debate now stan. I would say that it was more of a successful fishing mission. Honestly, don't be so touchy. 3 games in is not an indicator of the end of season league placings, that's very true, but a woefully out-of-form Ings, and some generally uninspiring signings, makes me fear for Burnley.

I'm happy enough for anyone to disagree with me, as a few did after my original post, because it's all about opinions - that's why I put it there - for debate. I know exactly how it works - post something that's not praising Burnley to the hilt and I get a reaction.

As for the fact that it's Man U, that is mainly irrelevant. Doesn't matter what club, or players, but if they are out of form then they should, and need, to be beaten. It didn't happen. And right now I'd be worried that this could continue. I hope it doesn't. I genuinely do
