    Ronnie K - early assessment..

Good article on Koeman so far.

Other than the comment that Pelle is 'less mobile' than SRL (funny, considering SRL is less mobile than the Itchen Bridge), there's not much I disagree with in that little lot.

Not a bad read if you have a few minutes.. - view external link

Impressed with our performances away from SMS with the group playing as a team.
Still slightly bemused at the lack of creativity against WBA but the encouraging aspect was the defensive display and the tactical introduction of Cork to stop the game from being lost.

Favourable assessment from here. Looking forward to seeing them.

Dropping Wanyama, for the Hammers game, indicates he will pick players to suit his game plan, rather than pick a game plan to suit the players.

Our home game, against WBA was disappointing, in as much as we failed to create, but I think that was more down to the lack of pace and width.
We're already seeing, IMO, better quality crosses coming into the right areas of the box, so I am quietly confident that, with Bertrand, Tadic, Mane and Clyne, we will be able to bypass teams that pack their defences, at SMS, and hopefully get the goal that makes the visitors change their game plan.

Not afraid to take games to the opposition (witness Liverpool)
Not afraid to draft in young players (ideal for Saints)
Not afraid to persevere with players despite criticism of them in some quarters
Not afraid to pick strong teams for Cup competitions

    He'll do for me.

He certainly looked quietly happy with life toward the end of the Sunderland game..
