    City of Football

Anyone go to the Guildhall today.
They were saying on the Radio it was a very good turnout.
    On again tomorrow apparently.
I hope Bladds will be wearing his 1946 Pompey shirt to the Truss meeting.

Manchester and Nottingham are the other 2 cities up for the award according to the bbc south news... can't believe that Manchester deserves the dosh, the clubs there have plenty to splash on junior football, not sure about Notts.
Hopefully the community emphasis will swing it our way.

My guess is that the least deserving city of the three will get it, just cos its is Manchester. :/ :/

Didn't quite make it. From 22 nominations Pompey got down to the last 3 but the title and therefore the dosh went to Nottingham. Nevertheless there is a lot of good to be seen in grass roots football within the City and its onwards and upwards.

Just being in the top three was a fantastic achievement for us
Well done Notts, at least it's gone to another provincial city with a great heritage.
