Just looked back at the goal and don't really understand why Keogh left Ass... to go for the ball when Buxton was already there..left two Derby players going for the ball and the goalscorer all alone...other than that thought Keogh was very good.

We seem to have too many players operating at 75% at the moment.
Not sure about the 75% but bang on about Keough head rush, he came from RCB, to in front of Bucko, problem was caused by lack of screening of the CHs, Antonio came in field and had a free run at the back four!

he played a pub team on 13/3/12 that's for sure. - view external link

Personally myself I think the thug Buxton was getting more and more wound up as the game went on. I just dont think he could understand and mentally take getting manhandled and bullied by the smaller Assombalonga. You need to get off the pies and hit the weights in the gym Mr Buxton.

The red cards there can be no complaints. He quite clearly heard the whistle like all the other players around him did. You can see it on his face from the replay. He quite rightly got booked for trying to stop us from taking a quick free kick and he did it wrecklessly. Now think back to your equaliser, what Chris Burke get booked for?
Harsh comments on Bucko. He is a heart on his sleeve type player, and by no means dirty. Check out how few yellow cards he got last season.

His first yellow was justified, as he got done by their player. The 2nd was harsh IMO. Firstly the wrestle with Assolongalongalonga wasnt a foul - both were just being strong. Then he seemed to react to Burke playing on and instictively made a well timed tackle. He said he hadnt heard the whistle, and if he was booked for that, then so should Burke as he had played on also. Very very harsh. Also, the tackle on Burke wasnt dangerous. No studs, and played the ball from in front of the man, not from behind. Cant say it was anything other than a hard but well timed tackle

Surprising how many red dogs are calling out for peno's - lets be consistent. If grappling and shirt pulling were penons, we'd have 10 a game. Every corner it goes on...AT BOTH ENDS!!!

The one some are claiming against Keogh

Watch the replay - clearly Burke is making a run to go past him down the line. Just that Bucko outsmarted him. As I say, on reflection both Bucko and Burke seemed to be playing as though no whistle, so if there was a punishment, then it was due to both in equal measures.

Anyway, made no odds. We got a draw with 10 men. May be had we had 11 on for the last 15 mins we would have won, but who will ever know. Seems that the long ball tactic Pearce employed for the last 15 mins was more than abley taken care of by Keogh on his own

Must say, that giant lad you brought on looked like some player...Not! Was he the guy who got the lucky ticket in the tombola??

It seemed as though he hadn't heard the whistle from the first challenge and played on, to correct you he didn't "clatter" Burke, it was a perfectly timed tackle, he got the whole ball first before touching the man. Exactly the same as the eustace tackle.
A common misunderstanding, playing the ball and then the man is still a foul. If you go in recklessly and dangerously, it's a booking.
Erm, no it's not.
A direct free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any of the following seven offences in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force:

    • kicks or attempts to kick an opponent

IMO Buxtons lack of pace and agility at this level is a reason why he feels the need to hold on and/or get the tackle in early. This makes he look cumbersome and does struggle at times, no one doubts his commitment, guts and desire and is probably the reason he is still in the team. On the edge of his ability at this level, probably get another midfielder in lol.
