Freedman urges fans to "get real"...

The Scot continues to plead poverty, arguing that the club’s financial situation should make supporters re-address their expectations.“We are going to win a game of football, it’s just when,” he said.

We don't expect superstars anymore and we all realize where we are.
What Freedman needs to understand is whatever players we have we expect them to be able to pass and move and graft. Spearing, Mavis and CYL are premiership players and should be able to pass and move and control a game. Freedman thinks passing from a full back to a central defender to another central defender and the other full back is a successful passing team, it isn't.

He's had more to work with than a lot of managers that have achieved far more. Just look at Sean Dyche.

Even if he had £10m to spend, his mindless tactics, tinkering and general inability to get the best out of players would still be a stumbling block.

I really don't buy this "we have no money" statement. The players Dougie has brought in like Spearing, Medo, Moxey, Tierney, Trotter, Feeney, etc, they will be on big wages and most Championship clubs wouldn't or couldn't afford to pay these players what we're paying them. Just look at Baptiste for example, yes he was a free transfer like most of Dougie's signings, but Derby couldn't get anywhere near what we offered Baptiste, something like £17k a week? I just don't buy it Dougie.

Freedman has 2 choices in this current situation,

either try to make Bolton better and thus save his job or go straight to the save job bit, he seems to have taken the second option.

This continued party line of "it's all about the money" is annoyingly creepy towards ED and PG. A point blank refusal to accept he is getting it wrong despite soo many disagreeing with him.

And did you know Charlton wanted to keep Dervite, but couldn't match poor old skint Bolton's offer?

The Dervite that's started one league match, by the way.

To be fair he is not the first Bolton manager to have used lack of money as an excuse, I remember the ginger whinger signed a 17 year old called Mark Connelly from Wolves for a 7 figure sum, he now plays for Kilmarnock and never made one first team appearance for us. They have all had money, they have just wasted it. 5hit managers use finances as an a defence when all other excuses fail.

Freedman perhaps hasn't had as much as the orange twohat or clueless mark 1, but he has had a fair bit in championship terms, and squandered much of it on the likes of Trotter, Tierney, Baptiste and Beckford etc

£1m on Connelly is a joke.

Did you know Megson spent on Connelly and ****tu combined EXACTLY what Coyle spent on Sordell?

We never stop hearing about the money we wasted on Sordell. What about these two, along with several other Megson signings?

We actually got a bit of money back on Sordell unlike them two.
