For anybody who has had a quick look at the media surrounding the Clayton transfer, it should teach you to be very cynical of pretty much any transfer news (if you didn't know this already!).
Quite a few outlets talking how Bolton beat United, Liverpool, Arsenal to the wonderkids signature. These big clubs lost their interest a while ago, and Clayton lost his wonderkid status around the same time.
