    The silence of the bored

Pretty much sums up the fan reaction last night.

Colchester revisited but with our specialist subject: 'conceding goals just before half time' thrown in for good measure.

A lot of the goals we concede are similar - weak, low crosses into our box which should be cut out or blocked at source - more prevalent down our left side but not unusual down our right side either.

It may well be that the players are n't good enough but we're giving ourselves no chance by failing to even execute the basics correctly.

We had a free kick on the edge of their box right at the end and Tootle took it and hit it into the wall - he should n't have been taking it but nobody else was interested in an opportunity to have a strike at goal.

I felt sorry for Davis post match, I even feel sorry for some of the players (young Leigh should be playing left back or not at all).

But most of all I feel sorry for us, the fans, whilst we could be noisier, we're generally supportive during the games and good humour

Why feel sorry for SD? It's his team! He had all summer to strengthen it and did nothing. We are all brainwashed into 'doing things the Crewe way' which means fiddling while Rome burns and Directors fiddling the money. Does Hassall attend matches? If so get some voices in the main stand and give him some stick about the money. In fact give all the Board some stick for not caring.
Latest posting on the Official Site - 'Don't Miss Christmas at the Alex.' A party with the 'sounds of the Drifters.' What could be more appropriate for the relegation party for our rudderless ship.
In another thread someone opined that it might have been better if we had been relegated last season. NO! We'd now be facing relegation to the Conference. This team and it's managers are rubbish and it's too late to do anything about it.

I feel sorry for him on a human level, as you would with a new colleague struggling to get to grips with their role - mo

It is my understanding that virtually all of the board aren't at home games.
