Where his carear finishes should be neither ear nor there.

At least he is getting paid !!, you must be proud about that fact rather than him having to take Pompey to the cleaners to honour a debt or contract when / if it expires.

    Scummer or not!

apparently Connoly made some comments re Nick Awford not being good enough to be a pro footballer...or so the rumour goes.

I have no worries about scummers playing for PFC, particularly if they are "well travelled". But Connolly is, and always has been, too gobby and self-centred for my liking. Its a great shame we ever signed him.

    Surely, he's doing a great job ?

Just hope he can keep it up for another 8 months.

Needs must when the devil drives.

Pride should be put in pocket and him given minutes at least, if fit enough.

I know I am always on about giving youth a chance, but just because a woman/man is well into their 30s doesn't mean they are useless; they can do a job - maybe a limited job, but a contribution at least.

I played soccer, cricket and Rugby until I was just short of 47 by a month; Stanley Matthews played professionally till about 50 odd. It is as much in the mind as with the body.

If he has "No role to play" why don't they just cancel his contract by mutual assent?

Maybe he just wants his contract to be paid in full, not the usual Pompey method of debt avoidance. If you are that desperate to get him of the books you could do another whip round.
