Would appear to be a good choice to steer them away from relegation.

Based on what? his experience of managing Celtic? He has no managerial experience down here or of being in a relegation battle.

All managers start with no experience, Gav. I used the word 'appear' for a reason. Neither you nor I could be certain at this stage whether he will succeed or fail.

'Would appear to be a good choice to steer them away from relegation.', again no basis for the comment really and nothing to back it up, bar ifs and maybe's. To me, Lennon is a gamble, like all managerial appointments.

Whilst his record at Celtic was not 'all conquering', he did more than enough to show that he was capable as a manager. Of course he will be a gamble, but one could argue that Stan Cullis, Bill Nicholson and SAF were at the beginning of their careers. They succeeded, maybe, just maybe, Lennon might do a good job at Bolton!

We will see how he does, five points aren't that much to make up, but he'll be up against it from the off.

Agreed, it will be interesting to see how he does and if he does turn it round, how he goes about it.

I thought at the time that it was a big mistake getting rid of Sam Allardyce!

That is a heck of a lot of debt - and, to listen to Gartside, you would think it just appeared overnight. Fit and competent?
