    If I was a manager I would...

make sure whoever took corners and freekicks could actually put them in the danger areas not hit the first defender or almost hit the opposite corner flag not to mention badly taken short corners.
Every match you watch the amount of times these kicks are wasted when the advantage is with the attacking team.
One other thing I would always leave at least one forward up front when the opposition had a corner, as it ties up at least one possibly two defenders who may otherwise be attacking in the box.
I'm sure others have their ideas.

The other thing you see a lot and it amazes me coming from professionals, is the ball being played out wide from midfield and the guy receiving it either has to break his stride or stop to collect the ball.

It seems the art of laying the ball into the space the player is going to fill is a dying one. I guarantee whoever you watch this weekend their will be at least three or four examples.

I know even at the level I played I would get my ass chewed when I did it!

Good point, Woody. They should be forced to watch videos of Johnny Haynes - inch perfect with perfect weight every time. The receiving winger never had to adjust his stride to receive the ball!

In our own experience Waggy almost always seemed to receive the ball in full stride.
