We're doing the right thing in (Lately) comfortably beating "Lesser Sides". Which I believe will lead to even more open, attacking football v. the top clubs, because we are not having to fret holding these teams to draws i.e. Chelski last season.

i'm not expecting anything from this game except a hiding.

win lose or draw, i'll still be more than happy with our start to this campaign.

Same here...just stopping Aguero scoring would be a minor miracle.

I am a bit worried by Adrian's form but hopefully he will come good.

[quote="dagenhamJohn"]Is it too early? You f.ucking bet it is. But we might as well get started now

Next Saturday (at 7:45 in the morning for me) we play champions Manchester City in a game that will be a great indicator of how far we've come.

Last season is still fresh in the memory when we shipped in 14 goals with only 1 in return (over four games). Admittedly we were down to bare bones at stages but still...

Overall we have won 35, drawn 16 & lost 47 games against Citeh (33, 14, 43 league) but our record in the last 9 years has been pretty dismal with 13 losses, 4 draws & 1 win in all competitions.

Our only win was a 1-0 effort when Collison scored back on March 09.

In our favour is that Citeh travel to Russia for a MUST WIN game on Tuesday. They also play Newcastle in the League Cup four days after us & then Man Utd the following Sunday.

Their league record this season is 5-2-1 with the loss

This one's almost a "bonus game" for me.

If we can have a real go and give them a scare that will be great for me.

    Any points will be superb.

would love to see the same attitude as shown in the liverpool game. but kouyate was instrumental in that game, and i think he is the key player when trying to take on the big boys.

Kouyate will be a big miss unfortunately. He would have been the ideal counter to City's man mountain, Ya Ya Toure.

I predicted we'd lose against Liverpool and we won. So I'm predicting we lose this one 0-2.

For a small, forget that, for a large percentage of any winnings you may enjoy I am quite happy to predict that you will not win anything by paying the Idiot Tax.
