    West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread.

    Is it too early? You f.ucking bet it is. But we might as well get started now

    Next Saturday (at 7:45 in the morning for me) we play champions Manchester City in a game that will be a great indicator of how far we've come.

    Last season is still fresh in the memory when we shipped in 14 goals with only 1 in return (over four games). Admittedly we were down to bare bones at stages but still...

    Overall we have won 35, drawn 16 & lost 47 games against Citeh (33, 14, 43 league) but our record in the last 9 years has been pretty dismal with 13 losses, 4 draws & 1 win in all competitions.

    Our only win was a 1-0 effort when Collison scored back on March 09.

    In our favour is that Citeh travel to Russia for a MUST WIN game on Tuesday. They also play Newcastle in the League Cup four days after us & then Man Utd the following Sunday.

    Their league record this season is 5-2-1 with the loss a shocker at home to Stoke, and the draws being to Arsenal & Chelsea. They've scored 18 (3 more

    Good post Taans. We need Song to be really on his game and Adrian as well.

    ...we also need Man City to have a dip in momentum.

    Top two positions are sorted...the other places are all up for grabs. No surprise Southampton and West Ham are 3rd and 4th. Merited no luck.

    I'm reading on various websites how the Citeh game is a good measure to see how far we have come. Personally I disagree, we are not champion material yet[!]128558;
    For me a better measure will be Stoke and Everton away, two tough fixtures that we rarely, if ever get a result at. Win those games and we are in the discussion for a place in Europe next year.

    With that being said I'm going for a 2-1 loss. Only consolation being the soon to be homeless, Yiddish chappies lose again and the cries for another management change start to ring louder and louder!
