1. Full of revelations, often mixed with lies and slagging off of people.

2. Tame books with none of the above telling us all about games we already know about.


Fergies is in camp 1, Trev's is in camp 2.

Unfortunately Camp 1 is what people seem to want to read which is why Fergie's last book (last year) was such a huge seller. I suspect the current one is just an edited version of the last so that is why it wont sell. That is also why the red tops grab them for serialization.

Still makes me laugh that anyone can write a Autobiography and then a few years later write another...total exploitation.

Not exploitation. I think we should invent a new word for people who buy these "Tell All" books, presumably parting with good money to do so. I've never actually bought one but I've been given a few and the only one I found interesting enough to read all the way through was PdiC's.

I hate to be cynical but these semi-autobiography's, are a medium to promote their own profile, have a dig,support a mate and magnify the salacious, to feed the media.

Trevor's book,is quite unlike any of that and is "old school". Which is why it probably - not that I am aware of - wasn't identified for serialization.

I did skim it,and it might be worth a holiday read,he played shy on any controversy. Almost as if he is too nice,or mature, to go there.

So reason for Harry leaving...Trev won't even offer his opinion.

For all of the homages of greatness given to his teams, many forgot the shameful antics of referee intimidation, blatant & cynical means to stop other teams playing and the cheap shots in the media at all who opposed them.
