    If I may join in..

Ron, if you have ever seen Day Of The Diesels, you may change your mind.

Nasty Diesel 10 pretended to be Percy's friend and he lured the poor No. 6 green steamie into the diesels shed where they made fun of him and even spun him round on the turntable.

Luckily, Thomas told the Fat Controller about Percy being missing and luckily Percy was found.

Boy, oh boy was Diesel 10 in trouble!

He was made to say sorry by the Fat Controller and looked sheepish to say the least!

I hope this changes your view on diesels, Ron-it certainly opened my eyes.

Thomas and friends is a good kids programme but is in the past. It is based on a class system that in real terms ended after the war. My favourite train telly was the adverts with jimmy Saville. This is the age of the train and all that. They should put them back on. It might keeps kids off the trains. Nothing worse than having a carriage full of noisy brats when you are trying to watch a bit of **** on your tablet.

thanx to dr beeching we do not ave a train station platform near us anymore . if we did we
could board "old smokey" , and get to more matches. the driver would not have to worry
about getting a fine an all , cos it is free
    parking on match day .

    i luv trains , me

Greavsey, weren't you arrested because of that unfortunate raincoat "wardrobe malfunction" last time you were on a train platform?

Trains are great. Though they do attract some right weirdo's. At the steam train station today there were people, and I swear this is true, wearing white socks with black trousers. How odd is that.

steam engines seem to live and breath...More human input is required to run a steam train...the two need each other to work as opposed to turning a key to start a diesel ...oh and a steam engine has a hot firey box...

Steam engines are also filthy, smelly and hard to get into. I have come across a few fiery boxes like that.

I cannot believe there are real lady trainspotters. I also can't believe that any trainspotters know a real lady.
