I know that hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I also think we should have recalled Atkinson one match earlier and played him in place of George Cooper against Sheffield Utd. George kept trying, of course, but the position he played in and the way the match panned out, he was out of it for long periods.
I think a more experienced player would have known to change his play a little within the formation and I hope would not have been knocked off the ball as easily as George was.
I suspect that both Atkinson and Ness may play at Crawley, alongside Turton, if we stick with a Back 4, to give us a bit more solidity in the middle of the park. Then just a question of whether Brad will be passed fit to accompany Brandy and Haber (or Cooper) up front. Of course, if we revert to 3 CHs, who knows!!
