Failing to sellout against the champions is what the club will likely be looking at.

And it's probably no coincidence that they've just doubled the number of home tickets each season ticket holder can now purchase.

That is directly comparable to The Dell in the Mid '90's

Its about ensuring that all those who want to go but can't, for whatever reason, buy a season ticket can go.

The cost is minimal compared to long term value. It equals about one third of one year's TV money or about the same as a player costing around £15m on a 4 year deal at £40k a week. (and should last a lot longer)
Looks like another good attendance tonight. An average of 30k would be comparable with The Dell example and I reckon we are close.

    Surely time to expand.

A run of straight defeats, key players out and the last weekend before Christmas but still we sell out.

The Chelsea game sold out nearly 2 weeks before the game. Imagine how many more tickets they could have sold if the stadium were bigger.

I'm definitely for expansion, when we moved from the Dell, people questioned whether we would fill our new stadium, and the answer is there for all to see.
What was it that the Don said?, "If you stand still then you go backwards".
    I agree with that.

If we expand now we will attract new supporters, and that will have a knock on effect, ie children, friends, ect.

Any extra revenue will help us to buy better players, and pay their wages, because at the moment we have hit our ceiling, and cannot compete with the big boys.

    lets do it!.

Yep, and if you look at the stats (one of the posts above) they will say we weren't selling out The Dell either, exactly the same thing the nay sayers are saying again now.

If we want to continue to compete with the top clubs, with the way the Financial Fair Play regulations are going to operate, we really need to get at least one upper tier built asap, while we still have plenty of money in the bank from player sales.

A 36,000 capacity, which an upper tier on the Northam would give us, is the minimum we need to compete with clubs like Spurs.

Even the commentators have picked that up.
