    Remembrance Sunday

Always brings a tear to my eye.

Those Sunday morning football matches when the players gathered around the centre circle to observe the silence will always stick in my memory. Two very poignant minutes to reflect on the sacrifices made over the years by so many families.

Went to the Tower the other week and saw the 888,000+ poppies spread around the moat. That too brought a lump to my throat.

We owe so much to so many.

    Dito.

Been watching programs about it. They were only kids most of them and shot if they deserted. Must have been just as horrendous for the Germans as well.
Just shows how pointless war is. 99.5% people want peace but its the 0.05% that have the power and want to increase this power and finacially benefit from wars.

A little late, but I've been struggling to get on to the Tavern board this last week or so.

As Nuc says, very moving, and also humbling.

So many bright young things, wiped out, just like that. Unfortunately, it's never the people who start the wars who fight in them.

    Lest we forget.
