    RIP Phil Hughes

Not a footballer, but I am sure all sports fans are saddened by such a tragedy. Watched him a lot here at New Road.

    Indeed.
So so sad, and such a talent too!
    I don't even wear a helmet when I play - but you don't get many 7 footers at 90mph in Div 9a!!
Still makes you stop and think though ...

I always recall when he burst onto the Test scene at 20, how he destroyed the South African attack, and yet also how we (England) had his number!
But with that talent, he'd have worked us over too, eventually I'm sure!

A tragic event. I'm sure he was on the verge of returning to the Test side as he had a great previous Sheffield Shield season and he was on the way for another.
Most of the nation was in shock of his passing and it didn't look good when all his past and present team mates were called to the hospital the day before he passed.
In his honour, CA haved him as 13th man for this week's test against India. A wonderful gesture.
So yes, rest in peace Phillip Hughes, 63 Not Out.
