My definition of a excellent draw would be someone from the lower leagues who on paper we should beat to progress or one of the old firm to boost the coffers.

Its a home tie, that is about the only excellent part.

It's at home and will give us an indication of how we could fare in the Scottish Premiership with this squad of players.

Strangely underwhelmed by this draw but hoping to progress

Of all the teams in today's Draw we were the first to come out of the hat. I take that as a good sign...

Big crowd puller - maybe slightly

    Hard tie - most definitely

    Winnable - most definitely

Potential for a cracking game - most definitely

The last holders of a cup we played was st mirren and we beat them. I have every confidence we can do the same to st Johnstone and the bonus is we are at home, so 3 out of 4 ain't bad so IMO it's a decent tie for us.

topfitter hits the nail on the head. St Johnstone are currently a bottom -half -of -the -table Premiership team. We have home advantage. It 's a winnable tie that gives us an opportunity to find out just how good Queens really are.

We've played St Johnstone 13 times in all cup competitions , winning 5 , drawing twice & losing 6 times .

Good record at Palmerston though , winning 4 & drawing one ...

    A tricky but winnable tie

Not a good draw as far as I am concerned, difficult one to win and as they are poorly supported , not a big crowd. If we are going to loose a game I would prefer we could make some money out of the tie.
Lets hope the guys are on top form and we get a victory.

My thoughts too - at least we're at home.

Let's get behind the team and hopefully get a decent draw next.
