Back in the day, when I was a kid, if we practised penalties, I preferred to aim for the top corner, mainly because no goal keeper has a good enough spring to reach it, even if it isn't right in the corner.
It's always puzzled me that the majority of penalties, are hit into the areas that keepers CAN reach, especially if they aren't close enough to the post.
