Pienaar For La Liga Move?
Steven Pienaar has been linked with a move to Real Sociedad, where he would re-unite with his former manager David Moyes.
According to the Daily Express the former Bafana Bafana captain could be on his way to Spain, especially if Everton are successful in luring Arsenal’s Joel Campbell, who could join the Toffees on loan.
It would be the fifth country Pienaar played in, after the South African PSL, Dutch Eredivisie, German Bundesliga and English Premier League.
If he does join, he would join a list of only a handful of South Africans having played in Spain, including Benni McCarthy, Nasief Morris, Tsepo Masilela, Quinton Fortune, Sizwe Motaung and David Nyathi.
