i posted this on EM, but they're not as smart as you fellas so reckon it's worth posting here.
At their warehouse in Wonderland, Santa’s seven elves have just finished wrapping the bottles of champagne for delivery on Christmas Eve.
As usual, they were competing against each other to see who could finish first. The following facts are true about their final order.
(1) Cirdan did not come fourth, fifth, or sixth.
(2) The winner was none of Amras, Daeron, or Fingon.
(3) Seventh place went to neither Beleg, Cirdan, nor Elmo.
(4) Third place went to neither Daeron, Fingon, nor Gimli.
(5) Only one of Beleg, Cirdan, and Elmo finished in the top three.
(6) Amras came neither second nor third.
(7) Fourth place had neither Amras, Elmo, nor Fingon.
(8) Beleg was neither fourth nor fifth.
(9) No two elves shared a final position.
Can you deduce the order in which the seven elves finished?
