The players?well yes but ultimately the buck stops with bowyer our form of late is hardly scintillating and if we continue we will slip out of the play off picture

Motivation? So you think motivation had anything to do with Rhodes hitting the post 4 times? And Gestede hitting the bar because the manager can't motivate him? We lost, that happens. We where also unlucky by all accounts. Nothing to do with motivation. Instead of listening to all this *******s about motivation, just have a think back to where w

Not being funny champs owd lad but I remember saying something similar to that during the 1980/81 season.

I'll let you research that one as you were probably only just born back then

I'm sorry but what a load of codswallop. This is one of the more ridiculous side effects of the modern fan's obsession with pretty football and enthusiasm for jumping on moronic hysterical bandwagons.

The criticism surrounding Heskey is as manically exaggerated as it is around other functional modern strikers such as Kevin Davies or Peter Crouch. Its no wonder these things come back to bite people on the arse when they have the totally illogical view that players such as these are rubbish.

Heskey has scored 111 Premier League goals in his career. That's something Rhodes and Gestede will both never come close to, and yet our fans rightly sing their every week. There's naff all wrong wit

Xmas with the folks Milly, just ask my Dad instead. now I know. He said he's still pissed off about it. We won on that final day aswell! To balance that, we won the title in 94 in similar circumstances. It's Rovers, it's always going to be hard!!

As usual this thread has descended into the usual load of old b0llocks.

Firstly, Emile Heskey is a quality footballer. He almost single handily kept Leicester in the prem. He also made Michael Owen look like a footballer. Shame that all he’s remembered for are his spectacular misses.

But on the Rovers front, it seems to have turned into a ‘what is GB goes and a new manager doesn’t improve things’ thread. Hardly the point is it? Surely the point is that week in, week out, the players let Bowyer down, both physically and mentally they switch off. The club has a transfer embargo, so replacing the whole squad isn’t really on the cards.

So for those that ask why changing the manager would make any difference, maybe you could offer some constructive advice as to how GB can get this lot to play for an entire football match? Because if they were willing to do that for him, this thread would not exist.

Aside from the fact that 3 starters yesterday have 'tasted promotion' in the last 2 seasons, it doesn't abait from the fact that this season, that the players switch off during matches.

But I take it from using stats in your reply that you're at just as stumpted as everyone else as to how to get the players to play for a whopping 90 minutes too then?

Edit: here's an example of how they let the manager down - view external link
