Has the glamour of the FA Cup finally gone?

From being I child I have been enthralled by the FA Cup and the chances it threw up for one of the minnows to go on a giant-killing run. Although Cup Final Day was the highlight of the season for me, Third Round day came a close second. Now there is no such thing as Third Round Day, with the ties being spread over 5 days to suit the television companies.

Last night's game between Burnley and Spurs attracted 9000 spectators - unthinkable even 5 years ago.

Certainly felt like it on Saturday. Aside from the performance/result it was a low crowd, no enthusiasm and not so much as a chant or a song even when we were winning.

Nevertheless the FA Cup has thrown up some magical moments for the Millers:

Beating Newcastle who had won the cup for the previous 2 years
Beating Arsenal after 3 games and that fantastic night at Hillsbrough
Drawing away at the mighty Man Utd and being robbed in the replay

    And many many more

If anyone doesn't get a bit exited at the 3rd round draw, hoping for the big one.
    They must be dead.
