Burnley are in a good position with premier money to do this we have to unearth talent on no budget some will not work out but on the whole Gary's signings have been good
Our hand has been forced thanks to huge mistakes in the past.

Granted we have brought in some good players...but is that by good management or luck ?

Bring in 15 players and surely you ll end up with some good players out of that lot ..

Can see Bobs thoughts on this ..again ..do we want a huge squad of mediocrity ..or a lean mean squad of quality ?

Crikey, Bob - "7 or 8"? That's a bit harsh. I agree that the squad is a bit too big, but most of Bowyer's signings have turned out ok. Marrow, Varney and possibly Judge I would see as poor judgement, but I think that's about it.

Why Judge? Good enough for a team above us in the league, in addition to which we got him for free and sold him for a profit.

Fair point, BB. It's just that he was one of several similar players, and I have suggested on the "Centre Backs" thread that GB has been guilty of overkill at times, which makes a settled squad and decisive team-selection more difficult
