Understand KJ is keeping him around the first team squad to give his advise and experience to younger players. May as well use his talents whilst here although I don't think he has any coaching badges at present.

Good luck to him I ended up last season having great respect for Sam after questioning his signing originally when we were relegated, sometimes things have to move on as good as he was last season the only thing I have seen turn slower than him are The Queen Mary II and Danny Baath!!
What a difference in player and attitude to some of those who were part of the so called 'bomb squad'. Ricketts could have played up and caused unrest in the camp, but as with the article he respects Kenny Jackett's thinking.
Fair do's a consummate Pro as I said I had my doubt's about him to begin with last season but they quickly evaporated. wou

If the rumours doing the rounds are to be believed then Ricketts could be 'sent to Coventry' on loan. He would add experience to the sky blues team for starters. - view external link

Now it seems Ricketts is attracting interest from Swindon Town, a move to the County Ground may go through next week. - view external link

Samuel Ricketts has joined Swindon Town on emergency loan until the end of the season. It's a good move for the player and he will add much needed experience to the Swindon Town squad. - view external link

Farewell Sam! Solid pro from what I have seen and read. Reason why he was brought in and made captain immediately. Hope he still has many playing days ahead of him as that is his wish.
