    'Phony'

To describe an overbearing, "two faced", or deceitful person or thing. Also: "Phony Baloney" which then became: "Baloney" which is an active form, used to instantly dismiss the phony person or utterance.

My daughter keeps reminding me that I am being racist when I say "Play the white man", which I have done for the past 50 odd years. I am not going to change now.

Terry off Minder used to say it all the time lol.

One of my best mates at college/Uni was West Indian and he was always known as "Coon" I also had another "black" friend who was christened Sam Bo by his mates and he quite liked it and always answered to it.

They both had typical West Indians, Linford and Errol, not that they ever got called by them lol

Different days I guess in the early 70s
