Yuup, unfortunately to a certain extent this yearly award thing is fast becoming another Real v Barca rivalry. I get the feeling that some of the coaches and captains who vote do it on the basis on which club they support more.

But to be fair Ronnie did excel last year and probably on the balance of things deserves the award.

Neuer should have gotten more votes for sure.
