    It was with great sadness we learnt of Sir Jack's passing at the game last night.

    A proper gentleman who will be greatly missed by both the club and the community in general.

    Had a few chats Sir Jack over the years and he was always interested in the fans views and he was probably one of our oldest and really true fans to the end. RIP Jack

    Lots of chants last night of "Jack Haywards barmy army." A really well observed one minutes silence last night, with I gather, further tributes to follow before the Blackpool game.

    Interesting the number of boards that have produced threads about Sir Jack. Also good to see that rivalries have been forgotten, with good wishes and sympathy shown.

    I wonder if there would have been so much grief displayed, if one of the foreign owners from the supper rich had passed away?

    I was thinking yhat with all the plaudits and anecdotes that have come out about Sir Jack, wouldn't it be wonderful if someone would make a TV documentary about his life. Anyone know who we could approach with this idea?

    I read this earlier and what i great read it is. Credit to the insight of Sir Jack Hayward and his life in the article by David Instone.
