I set off at 7.30 this morning, driving to Wolverhampton to collect a free ticket for Saturdays game. I arrived at the ground about 8 40, paid and parked at Asda. I wandered over to the ticket office only to find it did not open until 10.00. So a breakfast beckoned at the Asda cafe, followed by the purchase of a few items of shopping. These included some ink for my printer. Why is printer ink so expensive? it seems to work out at about £1,700.00 per litre.
At about ten to ten I again ambled over to the ticket office and stood fourth in a freezing cold queue. Spot on ten, the doors opened and we quickly took advantage of the inner warmth of the office. By now the queue had more than doubled in size.
Those who know the office, will know that there are at least nine ticket windows, but sure enough, only one opened. The first customer must have been at the open window for at least five minutes, with the assistant having to make several trips to the backroom for information.
