    re: Rhodes...

This looks like pretty bad news however you view our current strikeforce...and for once not a spot of blame attaches to manager,Gary Bowyer.

Rudi Gestede going for £5 million would be the preferred option(assuming we get offered that)with ready replacement Chris Brown here. Losing Rhodes could be a disaster as although he hasnt been quite in the goals this season his record overall is top class-model professional, rarely gets injured, doesnt rock the team boat etc.,seriously difficult to replace and maybe the end of any promotion ambitions. On todays overstretched valuations worth at least £14 million...

Yes Pat ..definetly the silly time of the season. Lots of "stirring" from Journos..agents AND players .

January is the "desperate" transfer window so anything is possible in my eyes. I do think quietly though that some club will make a bid for Rhodes this window , whether we accept is another thing..

ps ..after his miss against Wigan Pat i think i may just baulk at putting money on him scoring a brace ..(one would be nice! )

I think both Rhodes and Gestede will both play Sat Howie and it will be interesting to see if he plays Marshall at RB (wtf), how GB set the squad out at Wigan beggars belief, imo very poor performance from both sides.

Despite the 'silence' from Pune , none of this comes as any surprise.
And this is where the imminent 'unrest' will be generated from ie the silence.
Unfortunately, I can see it all descending down upon the head of GB.
There are even 'brickbats' being hurled his way as being a puppet for the Venkys, and that's laughable (if laughing is in any way the appropriate terminology at this difficult time).
At the end of the day, and especially in this 'modern era', managers by and large have no say whatsoever in who stays and who goes.

All timed to unsettle Rhodes before the weekend. No way is he a like for like replacement for Wilfred Bony and his value has probably dropped since summer.

Swansea have money to burn after Bony was sold to City.

Dirt cheap at £14 million ,and no.Im not taking the proverbial !!!! Just look at the prices of non-goalscoring forwards in the Premier League...like Shane Long at £12 million & Danny Welbeck at £14 million.
I agree they do a bit more for the team than Jordan Rhodes...and so they should...this is the player whose goals single-handedly saved us from relegation 2 years ago..along with a fantastic team effort from Dave Jones(now at Burnley)& Scott Dann(now at Crystal Palace).

Remind me again how many Premier league goals Rhodes has scored.
