Dont forget Hull City went up without ANY proper strikers(still havent got any)with a cup final since to boot- I think their leading striker scored 7 goals all season in their promotion year.

This thought has crossed my mind. As Needle points out it's looking like we're not going to be anywhere near the promotion shake up. We just ain't good enough (And I'm not here to discuss people's opinions on why were not). So with that in mind is it a valid suggestion that we sell some of our top playing assets to start getting our house in order financially for the future? So we can perhaps get out of this transfer embargo and begin to attempt to rebuild?
I honestly think it might be a better option than prolonging the situation we have at the moment which will inevitably only see us moving in one direction eventually anyway and that isn't up.
Sure it would cause outrage among a Rovers fan base so used to seeing the club making ambitious moves even in the ludicrous debacle which has been the reign of the Venkys to date.
But would it be better now not to just attempt to assure the clubs financial future is at least somewhat secure and start again so to speak?

Sell Rhodes at anything above what we gave for him , with a clause that we have first option to buy him back . Then when he has failed , and if we want to , buy him back for less than half the selling price !
