When I was young - many many years ago (where's mi slippers) - we simply called United Fans - United ites. They called us Wednesday - ites. And we called Rotherham Fans - erm Rotherham fans etc etc. The nastiness came much later - around the early 1970's.

How times and civilization change - and not always for the better.

I'll try and have faith Kate but I tell you it's hard. Can't even remember all the player'ss, there's that many comings and goings. Does nowt for me dementia Never the same team from one week to another. Another 5 players came in over the past few weeks, mainly loanees who will p*ss off back to their clubs without a care for mi club.

Like you say, how times have changed from the 70s.
