    The new squad

Interested to see that no-one appears to have commented on the age of the players we have signed. It would appear the oldest is 24, the rest 20/21. All young guys with a point to prove, hopefully with the work rate and energy that goes along with their age. Something that many of us will agree has been missing not just this year but last year as well. For me this is the most positive thing about the signings.

IB is trying a whole new (to Well at least) way of building a team, one that with care might actually generate some sales in the future as Hamilton and Dundee Utd have done. Well done the board for backing him with this strategy, now lets all give him the time to get it working.

100% correct. Theses are his players let him build his team. Now we know not all will be successful however if they pull us out of this hole and when the time comes we cash in great. Hamilton got a million of some average guy the other day. Why cant we do it.

Its also interesting to look at the heights of the new lads. Long 6-4, Pearson 6-1, Grant 6-1, Straker 5-9, Johnson 5-10, Thomas 5-9, Laing 6-2.

In recent times we've been unable to compete physically with many other SPL sides in tackles or in the air. If you can't win the ball you can't do anything with it.

was of course forgetting the old codger Pearson, at my age trying to cope with all these changes is difficult

As far as i know keeper is out of contract in summer
if that's case we could have a look and decide if we can give him contract in summer or not not 100 per cent on that though re his current contract
