It appears that his accident with a Lorry in December, was in fact, no accident. He has admitted that it was a suicide attempt.
He must have been in a dark place to throw himself in front of a truck. Obviously not given much thought to his family, or the unfortunate driver.
To think that he was once the Chairman of The Professional Footballers Association and voted as the "Brainiest footballer in Britain. "
