How many rookie managers have landed a dream move down south while managing a Scottish club outside of the SPL ?

Deekstrans, you forget one major element; if AJ was still at Queens as of right now, he would no longer be a rookie manager.

His value as a manager would have rocketed having been promoted in his first year, reaching the play-offs in year two, and now in the quarter final of the major national competition plus in contention for a play off despite competing against 3 of the biggests in Scottish football.

If he'd stayed with QOS, he wouldn't just be doubling his salary, -he'd be naming his price!

That is one helluva lot of assumptions, jardi, and all of them totally unfounded.

    Of course it is Cresswell.

That said, the vast majority of the team that were under AJ are still at Queens, so the chances are that much of what happened last season may well have done so with AJ still in charge.

However, the point is this; the club is run really well, the players are keen to play for Fowler as they were for AJ and if Alan had taken a step back and looked at the bigger picture at Palmy, - he would potentially be in a position similar to his colleague at Norwich.

Anyway this thread is becoming more like a fairy tale with every post. I'd rather believe in the fairy tales that really happened like that magical 4-3 match against Aberdeen and the Scottish Cup Final against Rangers.

I think that Mr. Fowler and the players can take us to Hampden again, which will only reinforce my point in another thread that QOS are as close to football utopia in Scotland as you can possibly get.
