    5.1 BILLION for tv rights...

huge amount of money for the new deal for Premier League.

And very little of that money will filter down to Football league.

It means that now Burnley for instance will get a minimum of 99 million quid, which means will be wealthier than Ajax fc.

Parachute payments will be bigger so very hard for new teams to get up to Premier. Just one weeks salary of Rooneys could have saved Hereford, it's obscene.

Look out for the susciption fees for SKY going up, well they won't get my money thats for sure, never show the Lions anyhow, or Robins.

Claw, I don't think Burnley will get anything extra if they are relegated .doesn't the deal start in another years time? It's bloody obscene, quite a lot of that money should have been given to the other leagues ..

I'd say it's the idiots that pay the daft money they ask and let them do this are the biggest villans. Murdoch has always been scum. I've never given him a solitary penny, (knowingly). If people refused to pay his daft prices, so they can sit at home and claim to be football fans, this stupidity would end. But people will cough up and it will carry on

Leading politicians have called for more money to be spent from the TV rights deal on grassroots football.

    Response from Scudamore, chief exec,
The Premier League is not a charity!

    Cheeky phucking t.at.

    Its Simple.

If they cared about our once great National sport they would filter down more money to grass roots.

They Don't, because they don't care, plain as.

This is almost on topic, and well worth reading if you have that type of sense of humour - view external link
