Nothing new though. I'd like to think it affected the result but that seems very unlikely.
The cheat Barrow deserved to be booed. It turns out that he wasn't injured at all. I remember at the time, they brought him over on the stretcher to the touchline, and he started to get up. Then they told him there was only a minute left, and took him down the tunnel. He'd achieved what he was sent on for and got a Saints player sent off. If it had happened earlier in the game, he'd have just run back on the pitch and not been subbed. The substitution just helped Swansea run down the clock. People criticise diving but what he did was far worse.

Barrow was sent on to cause an incident like that and help waste time. His only contributions were clattering into Saints players and trying to cause a fracas. It was cynical. I've noticed that most teams hanging on to a 1 goal lead can run down the final 5 or even 10 minutes very successfully by feigning injury, constantly mobbing the ref etc. It seems our team is a little too honest in comparison with most of the others.Originally Posted by proclaimer
For a player to get himself carried off on a stretcher after lying down for several minutes, when there is absolutely nothing wrong with him, just takes the cheating to new depths.
Strange how you have no criticism or even mention of Bertrand's premeditated knee high lunge on him.
That's because, Bertrand kicked the ball and Barrow clattered into the back of Bertrand's legs a split second later. It should have been a Southampton free-kick.Originally Posted by Southerndown

There you go, naughty tackle, red card, easy
How the f--k is kicking the ball and having a player clatter the back of your legs worthy of a red card? For the Swansea player perhaps. It was at worst 50/50, and Barrow feigning injury and getting himself carried off on a stretcher should be a banning offence.Originally Posted by Southerndown
It's all irrelevant, fact is we lost because we didn't take our chances v a mediocre Swansea. The defeat was our own doing .
