[quote="champs95"]My take on it, having had a rare day off and was able to attend.

I don't rate Spearing. I never have. I don't think he adds anything of note. That was my first chance to see him live, having seen the odd game on TV. My opinion hasn't changed. He is not the answer. I don't like how we keep dealing with Bolton, who have royally messed us about with Baptiste. Or Spearing, who already turned us down. If he's not good enough for them, he isn't for us.

I think Gestede is sulking. He clearly wanted to go to Palace, and I'd drop him. I thought his whole demeanour yesterday was poor from minute one. I've never been convinced of him & Rhodes together. Our manager still hasn't figured out the best way of using Rhodes. Supplying him. So that partnership has never flourished. Yesterday proved that even more. I'd get shut of Gestdede in the summer.
King ...last week was just a one off, where everything went right. Yesterday he was clear through twic

    re: my take on yesterday

And I'll add another bit. The real problem is no heart or passion. Just like games last season where we should have been out of sight, the pedestrian patience is once again our downfall. The players just don't go out fired up. There is still little help offered to players under pressure as everyone just waits for them to beat 3 men and deliver a pass that cuts straight through the entire opposition. If we can't beat Blackpool at home, (who are on minus 33 goal difference!!), with the amount of chances created, (none that great aside from our goal); then there really is something wrong. Boywer has done some good things for the club, but he's not one to fire up a team and create an 'us against the world' mentality and there clearly isn't anyone else around who can do that either. So we'll amble along. I can't wait to freeze my backside off on Tuesday, knowing that win, lose or draw, all we're doing is playing these fixtures out of a pre-arranged contractual commitment and nothing else. T

Played 13 won 3, drawn 4, lost 6 – that’s The Seasiders’ recent league record.

By co-incidence, it’s also our recent league record too. Although they have conceded far more, Blackpool have actually scored more than we have in those dozen games. That’s us, a team with an £8m (£11m-rated?) striker on the bench.

Our “promotion push” is currently keeping pace with the Championship’s basement boys point-for-point.

I just had to double check that figure, and low and behold, we are more awful than even I had thought!!!

'Join us for our relegation push' should be the new advert

Keep the faith all the same. Even with all I said above, which I still believe, I won't be suprIsed at all if we turn Norwich over tomorrow. Infact I fully expect us to.

To all those that saw the Blackpool game.
I've read elsewhere that, after the equaliser, a large section of the crowd booed Rovers players every time a chance was missed, every time the ball was passed backwards, and every time a mistake was made.
    Is that true?
If it is, I'm not surprised if the players looked nervous and lacking in confidence.
