    Barnsley match

Nearly always an entertaining game against the Tykes. No surprise that they immediately picked up three points on Saturday after sacking Danny Wilson. It will be a very competitive game tonight I'm sure.

Big decision for Robins is whether or not to stick with Van Veen who is learning the hard way just how physical League One in England can be. If it was an away game I'm positive he'd be back on the bench but at home he may decide to give him a go again. Wouldn't be surprised to see Osbourne in for Evans or even Llera for Boyce.

With two winnable home games in the next few days, this week could be the defining period of the season. Six points and we'll be looking at those play-off places and can more or less put the threat of relegation to bed. Let's get behind them tonight and see if we can give it a go.

    re: Barnsley match

We got what deserved tonight against a poor looking Barnsley team.

Failed to take some gilt edged chances in the first half and didn't have the guile to break down a determined ten man team in the second.

We tried hard not to fall into the trap of just launching the ball forward into the massed ranks of their defence but the quality to keep possession and move them around just wasn't there.

Van Veen lightweight again. Don't think we can afford the luxury of starting him at the moment.

dutch man not strong enough needs some weight on.We was lucky in the first half our defence was all over the place and twice nearly gave the opposition a chance to scorea, because our defence had the ball tied up between there feet and could not clear it.Bring back Mirfin.
