    good performance...

Yesterday, what a change from the usual cack. Pretty much pass marks all round still some things we need to work on. My particular bug bear is the delivery of cross balls and corners. We rarely if ever deliver a ball with any pace on it. We always have slow hanging balls delivered that the keeper and the defences lap up. Look at the pace on the cross for our goal yesterday , it gives the keeper and the defence no chance. More of that and we'll score more goals.

Yes a different performance yesterday. The contribution by Pearson and MacDonald can't be overestimated. Much more fight and organisation with the new Assistant Manager pulling a few strings from the touchline.

MacDonald brought pace and tenacity to our attack and was able to close defenders down. Ok he wasn't able to win everything but time and again he hurried defenders into making rushed or partial clearances whereas before they would have all the time and space to do what they wanted.

The midfield still needs some attention though. Our left side was still a bit exposed and the central players disappeared a little when we were under pressure.

    Still onwards and upwards.

Absolutely agree about Pearson and McDonald. Skippy ran his socks off; Stephen didn't look spectacular, but I thought he had a cracking game.
For the first time in months, I'm awaiting he Sunday papers with some anticipation!
