    Matchday Parking

Does anybody park at the cattle market for home matches because I have just found out the council are increasing the charge from £3 to £6. Disgraceful but to be expected from that bunch. They wont see the extra because they will lose at least half their parkers.

Get there around two hours before KO and park free on the roads between there and Costco.

Given the ticket machine only work 50% of the time, will make little difference!

Also, £5 at Fireplace Workshop, so if cheaper and nearer, simple choice!

W_R, think you are talking crossed purposes. thread was about at Pride Park.

Tonight...when I went to Brighton for last seasons play off we parked at Lewes, had drink there and got train in (free with match ticket). The only downside is the massive queues after the game to get train back. Took us good 45mins to an hour to get the train. dont think there is any parking at the new ground though

Sorry, I've got my stupid head on today - Cattle Market/CostCo/Fireplace Workshop should have been blindingly obvious (I've parked there enough times)!

Thanks for the tip about the train. Think I might go for the park and ride instead.

    WHAT?!

    I park there...but I won't be doing for £6. **** me.

where have you heard about the increase?

considering it's a 20-30 min walk from the stadium it's hardly a premium place to park.

is the cost of that blokes wages they've hired being passed onto us? you know, that one they had to put there to stop gypo's keep crashing the party.

shameful from the council. I bet the bloke that mans the car park just before Costco is rubbing his hands together. 10 minutes closer, fully manned and a quid less.

while we're on the topic of rip off parking. the worst I've ever experienced was the play offs at brighton.

past the university (arking round to the right) and under a li

Wouldn't bother with the fireplace site. It's a madhouse getting out and takes ages. Navigation pub is great if coming from the south side of derby 3 quid, 5 mins walk and straight out. Jobs a good un
