The good run of wins, 5 in 6, continues against a tricky opponent in Cardiff.

The Addicks went behind when Federico Macheda scored for Cardiff on 56 minutes from a Kenwyne Jones assist. There was little Dmitrovic, who had replaced Henderson, could do about it as his shot was rifled high in to the net.

Still the 2nd half got better for the Addicks even though Cardiff were dominant in possession and chances and had the run of play.

On 74 minutes Tony Watt, evading his markers, scored his fourth Charlton goal striking a low Roger Johnson cross into the net.

On 87 minutes, Yoni Buyens stepped up to the plate scoring from the penalty spot and making himself erstwhile penalty taker with the 2nd of the Addicks' goals, after substitute Simon Church had been fouled by Sean Morrison.

The result may be 'Ofnadwy' to the Cardiff fans after the manner of their defeat but the Addicks were 'ecstatig' leaving the Cardiff City Stadium.
