    The race for 4th

Now that we've finished the third quarter, had a look back at the points we got in the previous 3.
    Q1 14 Q2 15 Q3 15

    Falkirk have got
    Q1 10 Q2 16 Q3 17

So if Falkirk get 17 again, our previous best of 15 won't be enough. If they get 16, it would go to goal difference if we get 15.
I think we're going to need to get more than 15 in this quarter. If we lose to the big 3, it might mean we need to win the other 6 to be certain.
Obviously, it is dangerous to read too much in to previous results and to look too far ahead, but even in the quarter where we beat Falkirk, they still got more points than we did. It is only due to their poor start that we are still ahead.
Fowler might need to change his policy of going for draws in away games - 7 draws from 11.

Every game and every point is crucial .

We play the big 3 Hearts , Hibs & Rangers one after another followed by Falkirk .

This is going right to the wire that's for sure

our next 2 games are make or break games we need 6 points from our next 2 games ,as falkirk have 2 hard games and should lose ground .

Rangers finish their 3rd quarter tomorrow, so it depends what happens in that game.
    Their points are Q1 19. Q2 16 Q3 13 or 14 or 16.

So if they win tomorrow, their worst quarters have been better than our best. For all the talk of them being rubbish, they are still 3rd and will most likely stay there. They are rubbish relative to their budget but I can't see us and Falkirk catching them unless they have a total collapse in the last quarter.

Wouldn't be surprised if it goes down to the last game of the season ...

Also depends what other teams have to play for as the season draws to a close. We've got to beat them at home.

    Rangers 2-2 Alloa tonight.

Rangers 5 draws in a row and 1 win in last 8 games.
What a total collapse in form!

We are only 5 points behind and given that we play Cowden at home and they play Hibs away this weekend it could be down to 2 points.

It surely can't be written off that ourselves and Falkirk could knock Rangers out of the play off spots unless Stuart McCall can turn things around.

It might depend on how motivated Hearts are - Rangers play them twice after they will have won the league.
If Hearts beat them twice and if ouselves and Falkirk both win our games v Rangers then it is possible that we could both catch them.
I had thought it very unlikely, but their recent form is showing no signs of improving.
