Charlton return to 3 goals clean sheet winning ways, now becoming a regular pattern away against Blackpool to bounce back from the home defeat to Blackburn.

Three different goal scorers on the team sheet this time although Blackpool started off very brightly in the first 25 minutes with three shots on goal which were either saved or went wide.

Charlton took the lead on 31 minutes when Tony Watt crafted a back heel which was then tapped in by Chris Eagles from six yards out.

Blackpool started the 2nd half on the offensive but were still profligate in front of goal by handing the initiative back to Charlton. On 61 minutes Simon Church was on hand to lash home Gudmundsson's shot from the edge of the 18-yard box with his right foot and score his first league goal this season for the Addicks.

Again Blackpool had chances to pull a goal back, Andrea Orlandi and Bright Osayi-Samuel being the main architects but the first shot high over the bar and the second was tipped over by Henderson.
