    Some thoughts ...

... on today's match and Scottish fitba' in general.
Very entertaining game today with the Paton goal, following Russell's flick
And Durnan scoring with his first touch, being the highlights.
Good to see ex-Queens players, Derek Young, Willie Gibson and Peter Weatherson scoring and helping their teams to victory.
I expected Ian McCall to turn around Ayr's fortunes, but it just hasn't happened ...
The Honest Men are in real danger of falling into the bottom tier.
Jim McIntyre and Doddsy have really got Ross County playing well now ... It's starting to look ominous for the Paisley Buddies.
The Raith v Alloa game was interesting. If we can keep Stewart and Ryan Conroy quiet on Tuesday,
I'll be pretty confident of taking all three points.

The one thing that really p----s me off is the crowds at Palmerston - is it nearly impossible to attract more than our usual 1,700 diehards to watch Queens unless they are playing a '' big '' team ? Dumfries must have a population of about five or six times bigger than Dingwall (5,500) yet Ross County got 3,389 at their game yesterday - how do they manage this ?

Agree totally palmyman regarding the Dumfries support of the Super South especially as we are doing it with some excellent football AND support generated from the efforts of the Trust in promoting awareness & the "young team". WHAT have we to do to increase these numbers????
However I must query your Dingwall comparison - I have a friend that lives in Plockton and supports Ross County ( more than 100 miles to watch home games!!) and his logic is that there are 2 teams in the Highlands and basically Ross County's "target audience" is everybody in the Highlands outside Inverness. Sort of like every football supporter of "diddy" teams hates the OF I guess.
I cannot believe that we are doing so well yet are obviously only getting half of what we need to entertain/sustain Premier aspirations. Where are those 13-1500 lost souls from our first arrival in the "FIRST DIVISION"??
Are we playing each other too many times? I mean Livingston 6 times this season and that without Play Off bonus!!
