    East Fife 2-0 Arbroath

Another deeply frustrating afternoon for the Lichties. Bright sunshine and a good playing surface. and we played most of the football but completely lacked a cutting edge.

Yet again we started brightly and had most of the play for the first 15 minutes but both Lowdon and Murray missed chances.

Fife came more into it though created little but from a scramble in the box, mcCallum impeded their forward but then saved the resultant penalty. Just on halftime a difficult passback from Mcgeever forced Mcaccalum into a poor clearance andNichol took dwon their playe... and Riordan scored from the free kick on the edge of the box.

Second half seemed all Arbroath as we dominated for spells, forced a pile of corners but just couldn't get on the end of any of the chances -the two best falling to Whatley

Right at the death East Fife, who had been watsing time for 10 minutes ran up the left and fired the ball over for McAleer to score. They didn't really deserve to win but we can't sco

That sums up most of our recent performances. Who could have predicted that the top 2 scorers in the league would go completely off the boil?

As mentioned on another forum, our bench looks ridiculously lightweight. You wouldn't expect any of them to change the game and in recent weeks they haven't.

Going by the BBC stats we had most of the play and attacks. We can only trust that our luck in front of goal changes soon.

Honestly any amount of chances and possession, no matter how abundant they are, only paper over the cracks, that are widening by the week. We never, ever really looked like getting the ball to actually cross their goal line, let alone hit the back of the net. Never as a fan mistake the amount of chances and possession of the ball for acceptable performance. As another lichtie fan said to me at the end of the game "that is a poor East Fife team". Beaten comfortably by a poor side, comfortably for that matter and never really look like scoring. Same old story and it says it all in regards to how low we've sunk.

I walked out after the second goal. This is turning into a complete shambles. What a disintegration since the turn of the year. Personally if Alan Moore can't get us out of this slump and eventually promoted then I personally believe he should go. If this is the inevitable outcome then sadly it might be the time to start again, albeit again in League 2 for another season. What a

Just had to add this from the Pie and Bovril forums!:

Heard moore tell Nicoll or mcgeever today 'shut up or you'll be over here', pointing to the bench. Seems like a **** with all the stuff he comes away with on the touchline. Don't think he'll be here come next season.

Also, have to add that for me the players looked jaded, as if they had given up after the first goal. Certainly there was an initial spell in the second half to get back into the game. However as chance after chance failed to level the game our players conveyed a certain acceptance of the outcome...

I can say I saw the incident with Moore and Nicoll. Not sure what was said , but it must have lifted the fifers to see our manager and captain arguing publicly. If Moore had any issues then surely he should have shelved it and taken it up with Nicoll in the dressing room at half time or full time. IMO one of

As has been highlighted in other threads Moore has a history of mid season collapses and he has obviously not learned any lessons.
There is obviously a problem in the dressing room and unless the board do something to resolve it we will not win another game this season.
The board have a decision to make. Do nothing and watch us slip down the league or make a change with a view to at least make the play-off's. They did nothing last year and look where we ended up!

The incident with Moore and nicholl was embarrassing, nicholl passed the ball to mcgeever who was under a bit of pressure but not enough for him to welly the ball into the stand when trying to play it up the line, Moore then went mental at nicholl telling him he should of played it forward, nicholl replied with he punts it in the stand and u blame me, then starts to shake his head, moore then told him to stop shakimg head or he will be sitting in dugout, no way to speak or momotivate players im afraid

Onto the game, mcgeever is hopless, he cost the first goal, although the keeper shuda saved it, and the penalty was his fault, moores loan signings have been dreadful, its hard to be critical if whatley as he is probably player of season but his miss was shocking, every time we makes substitutions the team gets weeker, jack smith is to lighweight, needs to bulk up, buchan gets brought on for last 5 minutes but its in midfield!!!Moore never changes tactics, its always 442, imo we need to

I WOULD SAY Moore,s time is up He cant seem to Motivate the players anymore Tactics are all wrong, as for his loan players JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I doubt we will make the playoffs. Time for a wholesale clearout starting with The Management/coaches.
