First-team run a 'dream come true' for Luke Garbutt.

Since first-choice left-back Leighton Baines suffered a groin injury, the England Under-21 defender has proved an able deputy.

Garbutt has played in several of the Toffees games this season, and says he has enjoyed the prolonged run in the starting eleven.

"Playing out there is a dream come true, so I've just got to keep going”. He told evertontv.

"I think my form has been good. I've performed at the level needed and hopefully I can kick on now and get a few more games under my belt".

Despite being pleased with his own form, Everton have endured an indifferent season and have struggled to replicate the form that saw them finish fifth in the 2013-14 season.

This year they find themselves closer to the foot of the table than they do to the summit.

“We’ve got eight more games left this season, and every one is a final. We have to be on the front foot from the off to hopefully get some positive results". He added.
